Anthillhacks was a nine days long event where hacking the location was the underlying theme while it was also a "summer school" with faculty who brought along a topic of focus for each day. The location was the Devarayanadurga hill near Bangalore in India.
Anthill is a metaphor for the world of structure and complexity that exists just beneath the surface of everything around us. When groups of people from different domain live together for a few days, the location itself will bring about an intermingling of thought systems that would not have interacted otherwise. This inspired collecting the existing narrative and eye opening new productions and annotations of real world objects.
The talk will present aspects of the location and the diverse nature of people who participated and present the status of ongoing work that intends to provide an appropriate narrative of the outcome for each of these different groups of people - be they low literate villagers, tech savvy hackers, educators, adventure groups or performers.
