Résumé
Three years after the project’s kick off, Movim is now usable and we have the opportunity to look back and see how things work within a Free and decentralised social network.
Movim turns out to be a PHP and Javascript web application, which has been made very simple to install and use. It works on several database back-ends and can easily be ported to a lot more.
Despite many obstacles, Movim is still on track and the project’s goals haven’t changed. Our reliance on XMPP for the communication protocol allows us to be truly decentralised and benefit from the network’s built-in security.
