Résumé

Google uses virtualization for various purposes : server consolidation, virtual workstations, machine management. The talk will give an overview over the technologies used, the organisation of systems at the machine/cluster/fleet level and internal tools. The talk closes with a look at the future plans for Ganeti.

Biographie

Alexander Schreiber got his diploma at the Chemnitz University of Technology, worked for a startup, the state office of criminal investigation in thuringia and the largest consumer electronics retailer in europe. He is currently employed at Google Switzerland GmbH where he takes care of internal IT infrastructure as a System Engineer.
